Ice Cream Social
It’s almost time for the annual SE Uplift Ice Cream Social! This is a great chance to meet and chat with the staff and the board of directors of your neighborhood coalition, and eat ice cream. We’ll talk over issues that are important to neighbors in our area, get to know each other a little better, and enjoy some ice cream on a nice summer evening. Everyone is invited to join us so bring your friends and neighbors.
Anne Dufay, SE Uplift's new Executive Director, will be joining us so this will be an excellent opportunity to come meet her.
Town Hall With State Representative Carolyn Tomei
Town Halls with Rep. Carolyn Tomei Join State Representative Carolyn Tomei and her guests for a Town Hall. She has scheduled two separate opportunities:
Learn details about the decisions made and the challenges we face; share your views on the future.
Climate Action Plan Town Hall
The city of Portland and Multnomah County invite Portland’s communities to attend Town Halls to discuss the 2009 draft Climate Action Plan.
The draft Climate Action Plan is a strategy to decrease local carbon emissions 80 percent by 2050. The plan identifies high-level goals and specific actions to accelerate local efforts to address this issue.
Please join us to hear about the challenges and opportunities set forth by this action plan. Your input is valuable.
The question is not DO we take action but HOW will we take action?
