Get inspired by the dedicated individuals and the innovative work being done to make Portland a safe and livable city.
Support fellow community members in their efforts to create more cohesive and resilient neighborhoods.
Meet and talk with Emergency Management and Crime Prevention staff, as well as elected officials, bureau directors, community leaders and other city staff.
 
The following award winners are from the Southeast Uplift area, including:
 
Public Safety Partner: Officer Eric Weber Brooklyn Neighborhood
For going above and beyond what is expected of a district officer to work with neighbors, Crime Prevention staff, and partners in Southeast Portland, including work to shut down a drug house.
 
Public Safety Project: Fritz Hirsch Montavilla Neighborhood
For all of his hard work and dedication in addressing crime and livability issues on the 82nd Avenue of Roses including active participation on the Prostitution Advisory Council and working with the owners of a nuisance property to make significant changes to the area.
 
Watch Volunteer: Maria and Andrew Young Brooklyn Neighborhood
For organizing neighbors to form a Neighborhood Watch and for being tireless and persistent advocates for their neighborhood in the Brooklyn area.
 
Livability Volunteer: Laurelhurst Neighborhood Association
For going above and beyond in their research and collaboration to problem solve the livability concerns related to a location that was applying for a liquor license.
