Businesses are a key component of a sustainable future for our community.  SE Uplift is working with business associations to create business sustainability networks in business districts in southeast Portland.  These networks will work collaboratively to find ways to lower the environmental impact of their operations.  By linking together businesses owners that have an interest in sustainability we hope to develop projects and offer educational opportunities.

The Hawthorne Blvd. Business Association (HBBA) has just formed a sustainability committee to search for ways to increase the sustainable practices of businesses along the street.  For more information, or to get involved with this effort, contact Michele at michele@portlandhostel.org.
