Spring Cleaning and Tool Donation Day

The SE Portland Tool Library is well on its way to a great opening – for sure by May, but hopefully sooner! To help us meet our Tool Inventory needs we are having a Spring Cleaning and Tool Donation Day on March 20th. This is the first day of Spring and what better way to get a jump on cleaning out your garage or basement. As you clean keep an eye out for tools that you only use a times a year or less– think about donating them to the SE Tool Library. They would still be available to you, but they would also be available to your other neighbors in inner SE Portland (within the SE Uplift boundaries) AND you’ll get a tax deduction too. The Spring Cleaning and Tool Donation Day will be held at the Saint David of Wales Episcopal Church at 2800 SE Harrison from 9:00 am to 3:00pm on March 20th. There will be baked goods and refreshments available, and you can even stop in and see the progress we’ve made getting the SEPTL ready for opening. Check out our website for more details.

 Southeast Portland Tool Library Logo Contest

The Southeast Portland Tool Library (SEPTL) is looking for a Logo and to come up with one we have decided to hold a contest! It is open to anyone with a good idea. There are a few criteria to keep in mind in designing one. First, it should be simple and help identify the Tool Library to all that view it. Second, it should fit well on our website, and also look good on a T-Shirt – it might also go on a banner. We do not have a prize for the winner yet, but we are working on that – so stay tuned.
