Seeds of SE Uplift

On Tuesday, May 1st, SE Uplift will celebrate outstanding coalition volunteers and committees during our 2nd Annual Volunteer Appreciation Bowl-o-Rama.

SE Uplift staff are fortunate to be able to work along side thousands of amazing community and neighborhood volunteers. We thank every person who dedicates time, energy and inspiration to growing a more vibrant and vital community!

SE Uplift invited neighborhood associations to recognize an outstanding leader in their community with our Sprout Award. This year we will be celebrating:

Ken Bareilles, from the Laurelhurst Café in The North Tabor Neighborhood;
Christian Smith from the Foster-Powell Neighborhood;
Eric Wikoff from the Brentwood-Darlington Neighborhood;
Kate and Brian Mitchell from the Mt. Tabor Neighborhood;
Alice Knouff and Marilyn Harlin from the Laurelhurst Neighborhood;
Roger Warren from the Montavilla Neighborhood;
Jonathan Brandt from the Mt. Scott-Arleta Neighborhood;
Lee Kamrass from the Brooklyn Neighborhood;
Sheri and Joe Campbell from the Ardenwald-Johnson Creek Neighborhood;
Kim Hack from the Sunnyside Neighborhood;  and
Sabrina Litton from the Richmond Neighborhood.

SE Uplift will also recognize essential neighborhood volunteers with our Pollinator Awards. Nominations for the different categories were sent to the SE Uplift Award Committee. Based on merit, the following neighbors were chosen as the award winners for this year:

Candice Jordan as the Neighborhood Sage;
Johnathan Brandt as the coalition's Rising Star;
Bryan Dorr as the coalition's Anchor;
The Mt. Scott Cell Tower Resistance Team as the coalition's stellar partnership; and
Cyd Manro as the coalition's Producer!

Congratulations to all our volunteer awardees!
