The Friends of Portland Community Gardens is honored and ecstatic to have been chosen by the Whole Foods Market Laurelhurst store, 2825 E. Burnside, to be a recipient of its January 12, 2012 community giving “5% Day”, where a selected local nonprofit or educational organization receives a donation of 5% of that day’s net sales.

Whole Foods Market Laurelhurst is delighted to help Friends of Portland Community Garden’s mission to support community gardening opportunities for all Portland-area residents to grow healthy food and build community.

The Friends of Portland Community Gardens organization (http://portlandcommunitygardens.org/) will apply the donated funds toward the building of new community gardens in Portland.
