Southeast Uplift's insurance policy only covers the events and activities of our coalition or our member neighborhood associations.
If you wish to add an additional insured to our coverage, or get a rider adding them, the event or activity must be one where the member organization (neighborhood association or SE Uplift) has an active and controlling role – is at least an equal partner in the planning and execution of the event.
You may not “loan” our insurance coverage to another organization.
If your neighborhood association is planning an event, please do the following:
- Submit your request(s) for coverage of additional insured or other riders needed at least two months in advance of the event. This will enable SE Uplift to get an estimate of additional costs for the coverage. If this cost is to cover organizations that are not part of the SE Uplift umbrella, we will be asking that those costs be paid by the organization seeking the coverage.
- Estimate attendance based on your best “rainy-day” estimate. For many of these events there is a per-person cost.
