Southeast Uplift provides direct support to our 20 neighborhood associations in our coalition area with their efforts to build strong, effective and inclusive neighborhoods. We provide support in the areas of:

Outreach & Volunteer Management

The key to a successful neighborhood association is a strong and stable volunteer base. Southeast Uplift staff works with board members both to recruit new members and to retain and appreciate members to sustain involvement.

Training & Networking Opportunities

We provide a variety of trainings based upon the needs and interests of our neighborhoods. Training modules include staff led trainings, board orientations and neighborhood networking forums where neighbors can share experiences and learn strategies from one another. In addition Southeast Uplift provides varied opportunities for neighborhood leaders to build relationships and work together on projects and issues beyond neighborhood boundaries.

Neighborhood Requirements & Processes

Southeast Uplift provides technical assistance to neighborhood leaders to ensure proper understanding of and compliance with the procedures and regulations set forth in Portland's Standards for Neighborhood Associations. Staff is available to assist with questions regarding bylaws, voting, notification, minutes, etc.
