To celebrate the new 2008-2009 SE Uplift Board of Directors and all of it’s twenty neighborhood boards, SE Uplift held an ice cream social.

The event was held in the SE Uplift Pavilion, the park space on the grounds, and was decorated with festive red and orange streamers. Guests were treated to ice pops, ice cream cups and lemonade.

Neighborhood leaders mingled with each other and had an opportunity to meet new staff and catch up with long-time staff members.

The party was also an occasion to recognize outgoing Board Past President Linda Nettekoven for her years of service on the board and as an neighborhood activist. Cece Hughley Noel and Kristen Wiener presented Linda with a card and a gift certificate.

Board leaders are invited back to participate in our board orientation training on September 13th.
