Neighborhood Association Elections!

GET CONNECTED!

Neighborhood associations within our coalition area typically hold their annual elections in May, so this is a great time to get involved! We hope to see you at one of the elections this month where you can be part of selecting the board for your neighborhood or, even better, become a board member yourself!

What neighborhood issues matter to you? Would you like to be part of organizing one of the many fantastic neighborhood events your community has every year? Would you like to connect with neighbors who are active in your community?

Neighborhood associations are intended to improve your neighborhood—to make it sustainable, livable, diverse, inclusive, safe and vital. Neighborhood association membership is open to all those who live, or own property or a business in the neighborhood.  Many associations also open membership to government entities, nonprofits and other organizations in the neighborhood.

SE Uplift supports neighborhood associations, citizen involvement and development of citizen initiated community projects in Southeast and some of Northeast Portland (South of I-84).  If you are interested in learning when your neighborhood association meets or how to connect with them, just call SE Uplift and we will help you make contact.
